22×22 – Braga Infinita (2024)

This illustration was part of the collective exhibition “22×22 – Braga Infinita” at Braga em Risco.

The illustration, inspired by the 1905 postcards of the “Carro dos Pastores das Festas de S. João”, presents a contemporary perspective on interculturality and the new generations of Braga. It symbolizes a forward-looking vision by exploring the idea of shepherd children guiding a group and incorporating the formal poses and serious tone reminiscent of the original postcards. It depicts a Braga being shaped in the present and reflects on this transitional phase, highlighting how its history, experiences, culture, and traditions will evolve.
